Americans are known as a religious people.
It's true.
But it's not the god you think. The robed bearded guy in the sky ain't it.
In fact Americans worship a 2-headed god. Money & the Self.
Name a more selfish, image and possession obsessed people on earth.
The pandemic response matches our climate change response.
Some take it very seriously. But most, including leaders? Fuck it! It's fine. Let's go eat.

Now the fact that death percentage is down, but people are still sick means it's primarily hospitals and the employees there that suffer. Remember the 'Self' God just a couple lines ago? Folks don't care. Until they have a car accident. Or need surgery. Kid breaks a leg and needs surgery.
