I feel like there's this secret.
One that some of us figure out after 40.
We can usually spot those who have also figured it out and we discuss it furtively and share our confusion that it could be true.
The thing is, we don't dare say anything out loud, the consequences are too severe.
Moreover, we don't tell the youth, they wouldn't believe us anyway.
