Assuming there is a PC (Post-Covid) world, what will you do differently? For sake of argument, I'm saying a world that COVID-19 is no longer a factor, either through a vaccine or instant testing/treatments. I've pretty much stopped reading anything C-19 related but I still see headlines. Of course pretty much all articles are trash but it's things like 'travel will never be the same' or 'offices will never be the same' and 'is public transit dead?' all in hysterics of course.
Here's what I think, Assuming what I said about C-19 is true, I think the US will be nearly 100% the same after. The main takeaway will be more remote work opportunities and more online ordering. I don't think for one second that all the folks working remotely will be in 2 years, not even half. But I do see some businesses seeing the cost effectiveness of it and the opening up of the talent pool. I am concerned that this will drive salaries down a bit, wardrobe, fuel etc.
What will I do differently? I'll probably ratchet down my spending and ratchet up my savings until I have a sizable war chest. I've gotten used to exercising and meditating a lot. I hope to keep that up even if it isn't every day like it is now. That's pretty much it. I already work from home a couple days per week so I hope that increases.
