I enjoyed this more than I expected. It had some nice twists and turns. The author shows his hand just a bit with the current time researcher chapters. The diversion that was the painter at the police station, while succeeding in being a diversion, had a very lame resolution and as a reader, I resented him wasting my time. It could have been executed better. Overall, a nice story and would make a good film.
