No Man's Land by Davis BunnI keep looking for a gateway drug (book) into sci-fi. I chose this because it was slim. Most sci-fi books are massive and even the reasonable sized ones are very densely written.
This one has a pretty good story and it flows well. It doesn't read as sci-fi at all for the most part. While it's very short, my impatient reading self felt a little treadmill in the middle so it could probably have lost 20 pages.
