The City in Glass by Nghi VoI'm trying to broaden my horizons into science fiction, technically, I think this is more fantasy but as an outsider, they're no different to me. I keep looking for good gateway books to lure me in. I tend to avoid very long books as I don't feel like there's a story worth 400 pages from a contemporary author that can't be said in 300. That's a hurdle as some of these books are massive. This one, is small at a little over 200. If felt really slow to me and I enjoyed a bit of it. My issue with SciFi/Fantasy is all the made-up words then they drop an f bomb. Well, which is it? Not rating these since it's not really my thing and I don't want to affect their ratings.
