The Things We Never Say by Elizabeth StroutMy rating: 5 of 5 stars
As I've mentioned before, I adore Elizabeth Strout. In particular, the Lucy Barton universe she set up across many books. Not a big fan of the couple of early non-LB books. This one seems like it may be a standalone that wasn't related to the LB universe. It's a short book and I blew through it in one sitting. I had to pause a time or two as the protagonist and I share an enormous amount of characteristics. It was heart breaking at times. I loved every second of it.
