I have lived in my current home since 2014. The exterminator we use has sent Mr. Ray to us every quarter since then. I love his visits; he's a wonderful human that is mid conversation from the moment he walks in and talks the whole time. Recently, he noticed the empty space in the living area where our dog (Jaimoe aka Miz) would normally be and when I told him he had passed, Mr. Ray looked at me with tears in his eyes.
In January Mr. Ray told me that he was retiring in May at the age of 70 and that April would be his final visit with us. My family got him a retirement card and a gift card to take his "hunny bunny" out to dinner. When I handed him the card he gave me a hug, then we had the most beautiful conversation about life and family.
Mr. Ray is a gem; we should all be more like him.
