Last night (Thursday) my wife and I were planning on going to a lecture at the library in a nearby town. On our way there, she pulled up the event and saw it was listed as "full" despite no sign-up on the page. No worries, I knew of a store downtown in the city that features local artists and was having an opening. We decided to check that out and had a wonderful time.
I really love the artist's work, and the shop was really fun. The hope portion of it was for a couple blocks in every direction there was no parking, people were out everywhere. The shop was overflowing with beautiful young (and not so young) people that at first glance share some of my values. I really needed all of that last night.
