Inspired by Ross Gay.
This is an anxiety-inducing time for me. So, I'm trying everything to find peace. I'm re-reading Ross Gay's work and trying to take note of the delights in my day.
I've been doing pretty good, today was not one of those good days. I let noise in. That's on me.
Then I realized that I did have not one, but two, delights today. Both this evening.
I listened to an On Being podcast with John O'Donohue, the late Irish poet. There are few things in life better than listening to an Irish person who is full of kindness, love, knowledge, and life.
I had a bag of I.T. stickers that for no reason I started cutting up and making silly collages out of it. Last night I started one that's a bit more serious as an art piece. I spent an hour or so on that while listening to that pod. A wonderful way to spend an hour.
